Michelle Ganpat

Yoga Teacher and Reiki Healer

Michelle Ganpat is an ERYT-900 (Expert Registered Yoga Teacher) and Reiki Practitioner who empowers others to live intentionally and elevate their lives through yoga and mindfulness. In March 2024, she was honored as a Lululemon Yoga Ambassador, and later that year named Best Yoga Teacher in Westchester by Westchester Magazine for her work at Thrive Barre and Fitness, where she guided students toward healing and self-discovery.

A proud New Yorker, Michelle deepened her practice in Rishikesh, India—the global capital of yoga—where she earned her RYT-500 certification and embraced the true essence of being a yogi. With over a decade of personal practice, she courageously stepped away from a thriving corporate finance career to follow her heart and fully embody her calling as a yoga teacher.

Michelle is a trauma-informed instructor who honors yoga’s sacred roots and extends the practice far beyond the mat. Her teachings integrate meditation, breathwork, and energy healing to help students reconnect with their spirit, rediscover purpose, release limiting beliefs, and live unapologetically.

Through her platform, Sweet Karma Yoga, Michelle creates a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for yogis of all ages and abilities. Her approach invites everyone to experience the deep union of body and mind while exploring the full spectrum of yoga—not just poses, but the inner transformation that leads to wholeness.

In 2017, Michelle was invited to speak at the United Nations International Day of Yoga and World Peace Event, where she raised awareness on the importance of yoga and mindfulness in urban communities. She also became a mentor in the Her Honor Mentoring Program, serving as a Yoga and Meditation Teacher committed to impacting lives through conscious guidance.

Michelle is also a certified Kids’ Yoga and Meditation Teacher, having worked extensively with adolescents and teens—particularly those who have experienced trauma or come from underserved communities. With compassion and authenticity, she introduces young minds to mindfulness tools that foster emotional intelligence, stress management, and inner resilience.

She continues to serve schools, libraries, and community spaces across Westchester County, New York City, and Dutchess County, bringing her healing work to both youth and adults alike. Her signature style goes beyond Western yoga traditions—blending the five senses, the third eye, and the gut to offer an immersive and holistic experience.

In addition to her teaching, Michelle is the founder of the nonprofit Evolution of Love, an organization built to educate, enlighten, and empower individuals on their personal journeys. She is also a certified NYS Emergency Medical Technician and a lifelong athlete who integrates her rich background to help others heal, grow, and rise above trauma—one breath at a time.
